Call for Applications: CSC - DAAD Scholarship Programme 2023

The Sino–German Postdoc Scholarship Program jointly run by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is aimed at young Chinese scientists who completed their doctoral degrees no more than two years ago. Doctoral researchers aiming to complete their doctoral degree by July 2023 are also eligible to apply.

The programme is open to applicants from all fields.

Overview of the most important details:

Target: Postdoctoral researchers. Doctoral researchers aiming to complete their doctoral degree by July 2023 are also eligible to apply. PhD certificates must be submitted shortly beforehand.

Duration of research stay: 6 to 18 months

Tentative results in July 2023.

Start in August or September 2023!

Funding provided by CSC and DAAD:

  1. Allowance of € 2,050 per month (1350 from CSC and 700 from DAAD)

  2. Travel expenses for arrival and departure

  3. Visa fees

  4. Health insurance

  5. Language course in China (if required)

  6. Two-day pre-departure seminar

Application Window: 1 to 30 November 2022: Online application in the DAAD portal and written application to the DAAD branch office in Beijing by the applicant.
