The international accelerator center FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research), one of the largest research projects worldwide, is currently being built in Darmstadt. FAIR is under construction at the existing research center GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung. At FAIR, matter that usually only exists in the depth of space will be produced and studied in the laboratory, in order to gain new insights into the evolution of the universe and the structure of matter. Your tasks:

• Coordinate, implement and ensure construction planning - and execution of the FAIR construction project.
• Conception, planning and construction of new building measures
• Supervision of external planners
• Preparation and tracking of resource-based framework schedules
• Preparation of status reports
• Preparation, coordination and documentation of HBO- acceptances.

Your profile:

• University degree in architecture, energy and thermal engineering or process engineering
• Experience in project management and execution
• Good MS-Office skills
• Strategically oriented, structured and goal-oriented work
• High degree of organizational skills and willingness to communicate
• Good command of written and spoken English.

We offer a diverse and interesting workplace in a dynamic and well-equipped research environment. The position is limited to 2 years. The salary is based on the German civil service employees (Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst - TVöD (Bund)).
