First Super-FRS multiplet moved into the tunnel

Today, the first superconducting multiplet of the Super-FRS was moved into the tunnel. This marks a major milestone of the Super-FRS installation which is expected to conclude in 2027 with the start of operation at the end of 2027 (start of Early Science).

The LM11 multiplet had arrived at GSI in August 2024 and had undergone additional pre-assembly work before the approval for installation was given. Further multiplets and other Super-FRS components will follow in the coming weeks and months.
