19.12.2013

The cold mass test of the GLAD magnet, designed and built at CEA/Saclay, has been successfully ended in December 2013. In addition, there was a successful test of the coils, reaching a nominal current of 3584 A on December 5, 2013. This milestone is a major achievement for the R3B collaboration. The magnet is supposed to be delivered to GSI in 2014.
