A neutron star is a remarkably interesting object. As an oversized nucleus, it is one of the densest and most compact objects known to the universe. Its high mass and density lead therefore to many speculations about the composition of the neutron star's interior. In the neutron star's crust, for example, it is believed that nuclear matter arranges itself in a variety of complex foam-like structures, often designated as nuclear pasta. A sound description of these structures is, however, still missing. In this seminar, we will demonstrate that "Fermionic molecular dynamics" is an appropriate choice to study the neutron star's crust.
