GET_INvolved Agreement with Indian Amity University signed

GSI, FAIR and Amity University in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, now agreed on a scholarship programme for students and early-stage researchers (including scientific staff) from Amity University. The programme is part of the GET_INvolved programme India and supports 4 candidates per year to come to GSI and FAIR for an internship, traineeship or research stay in Darmstadt, Germany.

The programme aims in creating synergies between the partner institutes, GSI and FAIR in Darmstadt and Amity University in Noia, Uttar Pradesh, India, by allowing mobility opportunities for students and young researchers and contribute to the FAIR project in research and development. Moreover, the programme will help building capacities for the research groups that are already collaborating within the framework of the FAIR project.

Stays in Germany

Within the framework of the GET_INvolved Programme, host laboratory GSI will provide an opportunity to these candidates with an internship and training programme and research experience opportunities for early-stage researchers to work in all areas of the laboratory on technical or scientific projects related to research at GSI and FAIR. Joint technical and research projects amidst common interests will be identified and proffered to the students and researchers of Amity University.

Applications will be open to students/researchers enrolled in university’s higher education programme or in a Ph.D. programme. For an internship, students usually will stay between 3 and 6 months, whereas a research stay for early-stage researchers and scientific staff may last up to 2 years.
