Call for Applications: DAAD shortterm grant 2023

The aim of this new programme is to fund research stays abroad during the course of a doctoral degree. The research stays can last one to twelve months. They can also be split up over the course of the year and take place in several countries.
The programme is open to applicants from all fields.

Targetgroup:
Doctoral researchers who aim to complete their doctoral degree at a German university and want to do a research stay abroad.
NOTE: Candidates need to have been accepted at a German university at the time of application. If a formal acceptance has not yet been issued, proof of the assignment of a dissertation subject is sufficient. At the time of application, the doctoral degree course must have begun no longer than three years, unless exceptional circumstances can be demonstrated.
Duration of research stay: 1 to 12 months
Funding provided by DAAD:
Research projects abroad within the scope of a doctoral degree in Germany. If required, the research stay can be flexibly divided across:
- several host institutes in one country
- several countries
- several different periods of time
